I have 3 credit cards totaling $30,000.00. I am looking for a crdit card that will give me a credit limit to pay off and cancel the 3 cards and have one monthly payment. My credit score is 695 and have never missed a payment for any bill. Can you help me find a credit card that will give me that credit limit? |

How long does something remain on your credit report after satisfying the debt? |
 |
Answer:
Even though your creditor or the credit bureau can remove negative items whenever they choose, factually, the most negative items must be taken off in no more than seven years. But realistically nowadays, depending on the type of debt, negative credit history can remain on your credit report up to 10 years, sometimes even longer than that. Collection agencies make it a regular routine to sell older accounts from one to another, each time reporting it as a new uncollected debt on your report. As far as bad debts, the statutes of limitations, which vary by state, is 7-10 years after your first delinquency. That is, this is the amount of time that can pass before the lender is no longer able to take any legal actions to satisfy the debt. Be patient and make an effort, and you will see your credit rating improving over time. We need to remind you that our web site, credit-cards-rates.com in particular, aims at providing you with information on credit cards from major credit card companies, and at helping you to find out the right card for you. All other information is concern of the bank or credit card company. So, you’d better get in touch with your bank. |

I want a business credit card for my tax exempt non profit church which has been in existence since 1929, I need a 5,000 limit, but I only want to use the ID Number for the church and not the social security number of myself or my employees. Is this possible? |
 |
Answer:
As you accumulate enough points for a good credit score, you can find a credit card you need among our business credit cards for running your business successfully. In this case, first you will use your personal credit as a guarantee. Later on, as you continue using a credit card, applying for the new ones and paying them off on time and in full, for not less than 5 years, you will be able to use your business credit history as a guarantee of your ability to pay. So, when applying for a credit card, you will have a right to give your tax ID instead of SSN, to refer the bank to a business credit bureau. Thus, reporting your good history to the bureaus will help you to build your business credit score. You must have completed all the basic lender approval requirements (business license, a phone line etc). Show that you have thoroughly founded your business and ask the lender to make your company responsible for the credit. To find out which credit cards are based on your business credit, you can look at the terms & conditions of our credit cards and find it there. |

I have no credit, I just turned 18, what card can I get? |
 |
Answer:
As you are young and have no credit, you should get ready for starting your credit and know the basic rules for that. Now you can apply for a secured credit card or a credit card with a co-signer to start the score. After you pay your first credit card accurately, you can be eligible for an unsecured credit card for bad credit. The amounts you will be given with the started credit will be no less than $ 500, but not very much as the maximum. So, imagine: you can have max 6 credit cards concurrently and depending on the amounts you will pay and credit card types and the way you will pay them off, your credit score will grow, but you can hardly accumulate enough points for good credit within a year. What’s more, as you are only beginning your credit, you shouldn't be too brave and apply for any credit card you like. As you have some credit rating already, you can apply for a credit card from the list of bad/no credit card applications at our site. Evaluate each credit card before applying, as it is very important for you to get a card which fits your needs and can be affordable for you. If you want to fasten the process of credit building, you can apply for several credit cards, but only after you will be approved for the first card and will make sure you will be able to pay the balances. Remember, the main rule for you should be paying on time and in more than minimum payments, never committing delinquencies. If you earn enough, you will be able to apply for several more credit cards, after paying off your secured one, so that your score will gradually increase. But avoid overdoing with credit cards, as it can cause bankruptcy, as you won't be able to pay so much for credits. |

Hi, I am really interested in building my credit. Someone told me the easiest and best way to do so is by buying a new car and making payments ontime. Is this true? If not what steps can i take to get my credit score to excellent? I currently have very little credit. I only started to work on this about 6 months ago. I would really appriciate if you could kindly guide me on how i can build credit quick and easy. I look forward to your reply. Kind Regards, Damodar |

Answer:
As a matter of fact, there is no better way of building your credit favorable and strong than pay off your current balance regularly in full and on time. If you are just starting your credit history, it is natural that your credit score is not that high as you whould like. It takes years to build a really good credit history and during all these years you are to display a wise credit management. There is a wide choice of credit cards to help you. You can make use of online credit card application for secured credit cards with easy approval of for limited credit history. If your credit rating allows you to, you can apply for lowest APR credit cards or no annual fee credit cards which, if managed wisely, can well raise your credit score. Remember, though, that the key is to always pay in full and on time, preferably making more than just minimum monthly payments and never exceed the limit on your credit card. Thus, you'll build a good and strong credit history.
